A reflection on trust, uncertainty, and the quiet power of choosing to leap.
I didn’t set out to write about Blind Faith this week. But as it often happens, life handed it to me—right in the middle of a walk with friends and a string of conversations that felt anything but accidental.
One friend—a longtime confidant and successful entrepreneur—was talking about signs of a coming recession. She’s already feeling it ripple through her business. We talked about staying flexible, adjusting as needed, and staying realistic… while also trying not to spiral into scarcity. She said something that stuck with me:
“I’m trying to remember to stay in my truth, and to trust that abundance will follow.”
That’s Blind Faith.
Another friend—someone who’s walked beside me through so many seasons of motherhood—reflected with me on all the times we’ve had to close our eyes and leap. No perfect plan. Just a deep knowing that staying stuck was no longer an option.
That’s Blind Faith, too.
And then I came across a line that cracked me wide open:
Risk is the currency of the Universe.
I had to stop and breathe that in. Because of course it is.
The Universe doesn’t respond to playing small. It doesn’t reward perfectionism or certainty. It responds to movement.
To trust.
To risk.
To leaping before you know where you’ll land.
And just to be clear—I’m not talking about religious faith here. I’m not exactly a religious person. This isn’t about God, church, or doctrine. It’s about the kind of faith that lives in your bones. The kind that whispers, “I don’t know how, but I trust I’ll find my way.”
If your version of faith includes God or a spiritual path—beautiful. There’s room for that here too.
The other night, over dinner with a table full of women from all walks of life, this theme surfaced yet again. We found ourselves naming something we’ve all learned the hard way:
Worrying has never changed the outcome.
It’s only ever stolen peace from the present moment.
No matter how uncertain the path, we’ve always found a way.
Maybe it didn’t unfold how we imagined—but we landed.
Sometimes shakily. Sometimes stronger. But always on our feet.
But here’s the thing:
We’re constantly being fed reasons to fear.
Fear sells.
Fear keeps us glued to headlines, hooked on the scroll, frozen in place.
It’s how media keeps our attention—and how political leaders keep control.
And when you’re steeped in fear, taking a risk? Trusting your intuition? Believing in abundance?
That starts to feel reckless.
But it’s not.
It’s radical.
As women—especially midlife women—we’ve been taught to value control. Stability. Proof. But if we’re honest, the most transformational moments in our lives didn’t come from playing it safe. They came from risking comfort for truth. From saying yes before we were “ready.” From following the whisper before we had a plan.
So if you’re standing at an edge right now—on the brink of change, on the verge of a decision, or quietly dreaming of more—I want you to know this:
- Your faith is enough.
- Your knowing is sacred.
- And your willingness to risk might just be the offering that shifts everything.
Journal Prompt for Reflection:
Where in your life are you being invited to trust without proof?
If this message landed in your body more than your brain—trust that.
If you’re standing at a similar edge right now, and you’re ready to move but feeling unsure about the next step… you don’t have to leap alone.
I have one spot open this month for Aligned, my private coaching container for women who are done waiting and ready to claim the life they actually want. The brave. The beautiful. The unknown.
If this is you—if something stirred while reading—you can learn more or apply here.
Let’s risk believing in more, together.
