Unlock Your Creativity | Let Curiosity Lead the Way

Hey, Lovely!

This week, I want to invite you to reconnect with a part of yourself that might’ve been quietly whispering beneath the surface—your inner creative. Yep, she’s still there, patiently waiting for you to loosen the grip on “getting it all right” and just… play a little.

Fall has this magical way of nudging us inward, inviting reflection, coziness, and a fresh burst of inspiration. It’s the perfect season to get curious and experiment with how creativity wants to flow through you right now. If you’ve been wondering how to spark creativity this fall, it might be simpler than you think.

Let Curiosity Be Your Compass

Creative living isn’t just about making art—it’s about how we show up fully in our lives, embracing curiosity along the way. Creativity doesn’t have to look like painting a masterpiece or writing the next bestseller (unless that’s calling you—by all means, grab the brush or open that doc!). It can be as simple as trying out a new recipe you’ve been eyeing, journaling what’s on your heart, or stepping outside to photograph the changing leaves on your next walk.

The key? Follow your curiosity.

Ask yourself, “What sounds fun? What feels playful or nourishing right now?” And then give yourself permission to go there—with zero expectations of the outcome.

Shift Your Space, Shift Your Energy

Sometimes, a mindset shift is all it takes to invite fresh creative energy into your day. Try rearranging your space or adding something new—a cozy chair by the window, some autumnal touches like candles or pumpkins, or even just clearing off a cluttered corner of your home.

Fresh energy invites fresh ideas. That little change in perspective could be just what you need to spark something new inside you.

Unlock Your Creativity in the Brand New Day Book Club

One thing that’s been reigniting my own creative mindset this fall is reading Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert with the women in the BND Book Club. We’ve been having incredible discussions around creative living, fear, and giving ourselves permission to explore. Gilbert reminds us that creativity isn’t just about making art—it’s about how we choose to live.

The conversations we’re having inside the book club this month have been so inspiring, and there’s still time to join us if you’re craving a supportive space to explore your own creative energy.

You can grab a copy and hop in anytime—we’d love to have you!

Expression Over Perfection

Here’s your gentle reminder: creativity isn’t about making something “perfect.” It’s about self-expression and creativity, connection, and giving yourself the freedom to experiment without judgment. It’s about you getting to explore and play, whether the world ever sees the result or not.

So pick up the paintbrush, the pen, the camera—or even that sourdough starter you abandoned last winter. Dance in your kitchen. Try a new playlist. Make something just because you can.

The Process IS the Magic

As Elizabeth Gilbert so beautifully puts it in Big Magic,
“Creativity itself doesn’t care at all about results—the only thing it craves is the process.”

So this week, let go of the need to “produce” or “perfect,” and just create for the joy of it. You never know what ideas or inspiration might bubble up when you’re simply in the flow.

This season, I invite you to reconnect with your creative side and see where it leads.
